3D Printing – Future of construction?

Last September (2018), KHL published an article (link at the end of this post) describing how 3D printing may be the future of construction.

AECOM is seemingly leading the way here with current transported-related projects that may use printable graphene-enhanced concrete.

Hopefully this sort of innovative and creative thinking, in overcoming traditional logistical and construction problems, will facilitate quantum leaps forward in the construction industry. Set up a 3D printing apparatus onsite and the majority of components can be printed on demand in accordance with pre-determined specifications.

Lower transport costs, more efficient project delivery and shorter timescales. Who knows, perhaps we can even eventually print in space and start colonising Mars!
